St Louis City Tops Fbi’s List Of Most Dangerous Urban Centers In America

We asked the White House press office what the president’s source for his claim was, and they directed us to a Washington Post article on urban crime.

This article uses crime data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for the first half of 2019 – the most recent official source of data for US cities with populations over 100,000.

The top 10 cities for overall violent crime, which include the major metropolitan areas of New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, are all run by Democrats.

The Republican-run city with the highest violent crime rate is Jacksonville, Florida, ranked 17th on the FBI’s list.

Hey Trump, Not All Of The Most Dangerous Cities In Usa Are Run By Democrats.

As of September 2020, the top 100 US cities are run by 64 Democrats, 28 Republicans, three independents, and four nonpartisans.

But the FBI cautioned against using its statistics to categorize cities and simplify what causes crime.

“These estimated rankings do not account for the many variables that shape crime in a particular city, town, county, state, tribal area or region,” it says on its website.

“As a result, they lead to simplistic and/or incomplete analyses, which often create misconceptions that negatively impact communities and their populations.”

Mr. Trump also said that “crime is skyrocketing” in cities run by Democrats, but that the fastest increase in homicides was seen in cities run by Republicans.

Local police department numbers show sharp increases in Democratic-controlled Chicago and New York. But it’s also a trend seen in some Republican-controlled cities.

For example, in the city of Lexington, Kentucky, with a population of more than 300,000, murders increased by 84.6 percent compared to the same period in 2019.

This Is The Dumbest Way To Find World’s Most Dangerous Cities/nations

“Nationally, homicides are up 25 percent, including almost identical changes in Democratic and Republican-controlled cities,” said Jeff Asher, a US crime analyst.

“I think the most important thing is that cities across the country, regardless of the mayor’s party, have seen an alarming increase in homicides across the country this year,” he adds.

Some years may change, but violent crime in the US has been on a downward trend since the 1990s. US citizens were recently warned by the government not to travel to these 5 Mexican states.
