Top Places To Visit In The Philippines With Kids
We still have many destinations to visit, but in this post we list our favorites so far. This is based solely on our personal experience and in no particular order. Here we are!
How we got to Batanes was pure luck. At the time, only Philippine Airlines operated flights to Basco, and they rarely included seat sales. But one day it happened! I managed to get cheap flights. It was worth the wait! We expected Batanes to surprise us, but it also captured our hearts.
The remote and isolated province of Batanes is the northernmost province in the Philippines. It is an archipelago consisting of 10 parts, and the three largest islands are the only inhabited ones: Sabtang, Batan and Itbayat. Sabtang and Itbayat are their own municipalities, while Bataan is further divided into Basco, Ivan, Uyugan and Mahatao.
We have been back several times since our first visit and are always happy to return. Batanes is one of those destinations that enchants effortlessly. It’s visually stunning and culturally fascinating, but what sets it apart is its solitude. Batanes has a natural ability to make you think, lose yourself in thought and find peace, even if only for a moment.

Ilocos is one of the first places we visited together. We weren’t travel bloggers at the time, but I still remember being amazed by the variety of attractions here. From sand dunes to beaches and monuments, Ilocandia has it all. We started our journey in Vigan and passed through Bantay, Batak, Paoay, Laoag and Bangui until we reached Pagudpud. It gave us countless memories that are still alive today.
Years later we finally ventured to the Paoai Sand Dunes, something I’ve always wanted to try since our first visit! And we also returned to Wigan another time.
