With the clearest turquoise water I’ve ever seen, and a history spanning 50,000 years, it’s an amazing place to discover on your trip. While in Palawan, be sure to visit El Nido on the eastern side of the island.
While here, be sure to explore the town of El Nido and take your own boat (while you shop) to the beautiful island of Bacuit. Every island in the Bacuit archipelago has the biggest rocks and the clearest water I’ve ever seen. There is also an area suitable for snorkeling as well.
Now, to get here, take one of the major airlines from Manila (or Bohol etc) to Puerto Princesa and drive for about 5-6 hours (depending on how fast your driver is) to reach El Nido itself. Alternatively, fly directly to El Nido on a small plane with Air Swift to Manila.
Alternatively, if El Nido doesn’t appeal to you, head to the Palawanese island of Coron which is about 60-80km from El Nido.
